The "Humanoid Robot Half Marathon" will be held in April, and participating teams aim to break the human half marathon champion record.
On March 19, the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center held a "Humanoid Robot Half-Marathon" training camp. Tang Jian, the Chief Technology Officer of the center, said that this year's robot competition will use fully autonomous navigation. Compared to last year, where robots only needed to run along the two boundary lines of the track, this year's robots will need to independently complete positioning, path planning, and obstacle avoidance in an open environment. The technical difficulty has greatly increased, and all joints will use self-developed joints. The parameters and performance of the joints have significantly improved compared to last year. Tang Jian revealed that this year's participating teams are aiming for the human half-marathon championship record, striving to run under 1 hour. This training camp is mainly for college teachers and students and will provide comprehensive support including the general robot platform "Intelligent Creation" and the general intelligent platform "Thinker", hoping to create an open source ecosystem.
