The soaring oil prices have led to an 11% increase in the price of bottled water in India.

Due to the rise in oil prices pushing up the cost of key raw materials for producing plastic bottles, industry leader Bisleri, which holds one-third of the market share in the bottled water market in India, has raised its product prices by 11%. A case of 12 bottles, each 1 liter, of bottled water is now priced at 240 rupees, up from 216 rupees before.
