Liu Haixing meets with the Spanish Ambassador to China, Betanzos.

On March 19th, Minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Liu Haixing met with Ambassador of Spain to China Betanzos. Liu Haixing stated that in the more than 50 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Spain, the two countries have always viewed and developed bilateral relations from a strategic and long-term perspective, setting an example of friendly coexistence and mutual development between countries with different historical and cultural backgrounds and different social systems. Inter-party exchanges are an important component of Sino-Spanish exchanges. The CPC is willing to strengthen communication and dialogue with major political parties in Spain, enhance mutual understanding and political trust, promote people-to-people exchanges and pragmatic cooperation, and promote the healthy and stable development of bilateral relations. This year marks the beginning of the 14th Five-Year Plan period, and China will further expand high-level opening up to the outside world and is willing to share opportunities with countries around the world, including Spain.
