On the 16th local time, South Korea's Shinsegae Group and the U.S. chip giant Nvidia-backed startup Reflection AI signed a memorandum of understanding in San Francisco, USA. The two parties will jointly build a 250-megawatt AI data center in South Korea. This will be the largest AI data center currently under construction or planned in South Korea. According to the Wall Street Journal, Reflection AI will develop AI models customized for the Korean language and culture with Shinsegae Group, with an investment scale of several billion dollars. Nvidia not only is an investor in Reflection but also is at the core of the U.S. government's AI export strategy. The Wall Street Journal commented that the signing of this agreement marks the first AI export project reached by the U.S. government after Trump began his second term in the White House.
