Market analyst Inzamam Rashid stated that on average, about 138 to 140 ships pass through the Strait of Hormuz each day. However, since the start of this latest conflict, this number has decreased significantly to only a few ships per day. According to the latest data from the Associated Press, only about 90 ships have passed through the waterway in the past two and a half weeks, with the majority of them being Iranian vessels. It is also understood that President Trump is hoping to regain control of the region but his calls to form an alliance have not received positive responses. The US amphibious warfare ship USS Tripoli is currently sailing to the area and may be used for some form of ground invasion operation. The current situation indicates that the US has decided not to resolve this issue through diplomatic means.
