Jingha High-Speed Railway section experiences sudden overhead wire malfunction, causing some trains to be suspended.
According to the Beijing Railway Weibo message, at around 17:00 today, there was a sudden catenary fault between Chengde County North Station and Niuheliang Station on the Beijing-Harbin High-speed Railway, causing the G178 passenger train to emergency stop in the section without power supply. As a result, some trains passing through this section are delayed. The railway department immediately initiated emergency response plan, organizing rescue and repair efforts. As of 20:52, all passengers on G178 have been safely transferred to the rescue EMU heading towards Beijing. Due to this incident, some trains departing from Beijing Chaoyang Station have temporarily stopped running, causing inconvenience to passengers. The railway department deeply apologizes for the inconvenience. Passengers who have purchased tickets for the cancelled trains can apply for a free refund within 30 days from the date of departure.
