Zhejiang: By 2026, the gap between the highest and lowest per capita disposable income of urban and rural residents in counties and cities will be reduced to around 1.5 times.
The Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government recently issued a work plan entitled "Work Plan for Deepening Urban-Rural Integration Development with the 'Ten Million Project' Leading, Narrowing the 'Three Big Gaps' and Promoting the Demonstration of Common Prosperity as a Pioneer by 2026". The work plan proposes that by 2026, the overall carrying capacity of county towns will be significantly improved, the construction of poetic and picturesque Zhejiang and beautiful rural areas will be accelerated, the integrated development pattern of urban and rural areas will be basically formed, residents' income will steadily increase, and the vitality of mountainous and island counties will be significantly enhanced. The urbanization rate of the province's permanent resident population will reach about 76.5%, the coverage rate of beautiful rural areas will exceed 80%, residents' income growth will synchronize with economic growth, the ratio of per capita disposable income between urban and rural residents will narrow to about 1.8, and the gap between the highest and lowest per capita disposable income of residents in prefecture-level cities will narrow to about 1.5.
