New national standards on the energy efficiency of indoor lighting products released, with upgrades in three aspects.
Today, reporters learned that the mandatory national standard "Energy Efficiency Limit Values and Energy Efficiency Grades for LED Products for Indoor Lighting" has been officially released and will be implemented starting from September 1, 2027. The new version of the mandatory national standard for indoor lighting products has been revised and upgraded in three main aspects:
1. Significantly expanding the product coverage, small aperture angle LED spotlights, LED high ceiling lights, replacement double-ended LED lights, and LED indoor lighting products with dimming, color adjustment, and other additional functions have been included in the energy efficiency standard system. Not only focusing on energy saving for basic lighting products, but also constraining the energy efficiency of emerging hot products like smart lighting, enhancing the basis for energy efficiency regulation of products.
2. Scientifically improving the energy efficiency index requirements, classifying and setting standards based on product characteristics and application scenarios. On the basis of moderately enhancing the 3-level energy efficiency access threshold, further increasing the technical requirements for 2-level energy-saving products, increasing the distinguishability of high-efficiency products, and providing energy efficiency corrections for high-end products such as high color rendering, anti-glare, and intelligent control, balancing energy saving and ensuring good lighting quality.
3. Reasonably optimizing relevant performance indicators, adding standby energy consumption requirements to reduce "invisible" energy waste when products are not in operation, promoting energy saving in lighting from "operational energy efficiency" to "all-time energy efficiency." The new national standard is based on the development of the domestic lighting industry and market, while drawing on international experience for upgrading and updating, it will effectively promote the high-quality development of the lighting industry and the transformation towards green and low-carbon.
