Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: Increase efforts to promote the application of advanced technology and continuously improve the comprehensive utilization of used tires.

To promote the high-quality development of the comprehensive utilization industry of waste tires, on March 17, 2026, the Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology organized a symposium on the comprehensive utilization of waste tires, with representatives from industry associations, research institutions, key enterprises, and other relevant parties in attendance. During the meeting, participants focused on tire renovation, recycled rubber, rubber powder, thermal cracking, and other areas, introducing the current development status of the industry both domestically and abroad, innovative applications of process technology and equipment, digital transformation, the construction of standard systems, and the promotion and application of recycled products. They also analyzed the opportunities and challenges faced by the industry during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, and put forward policy recommendations to promote the high-quality development of waste tire comprehensive utilization in China. Next, the Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization Department will conduct in-depth research on the waste tire comprehensive utilization industry, further strengthen policy guidance, improve related standard systems, strengthen industry normative management, increase the promotion and application of advanced technologies, and continuously improve the level of comprehensive utilization of waste tires.
