On March 17th, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian presided over the regular press conference. A journalist from Agence France-Presse asked about the European Union's announcement of sanctions against two Chinese companies and one Iranian company yesterday, on the grounds that they launched cyber attacks against EU member states. The journalist asked if China is aware of this and if more information can be provided. Lin Jian emphasized that China strongly opposes the EU's illegal unilateral sanctions against Chinese entities and urges the EU to correct its wrong practices and work with China in a responsible and constructive manner to jointly maintain the peace, stability, and prosperity of cyberspace.
