Taiwanese media: Taiwan Air Force claims to have found the "black box" of the Taiwanese F-16V fighter jet that crashed into the sea and has completed the salvage operation.
On the evening of January 6, a Taiwanese F-16V fighter jet crashed into the sea, and the pilot went missing. According to the latest news from Taiwanese media such as the Taiwan Times and the Central News Agency on March 17, after more than two months of searching, the Taiwanese Air Force has located and salvaged the "flight data recorder" of the crashed aircraft in the signal positioning area yesterday. Reports indicate that, based on previous messages issued by the Taiwanese Air Force, the signal position of the "black box" was confirmed to be approximately 2500 meters deep, and overseas salvage companies have been engaged to assist in the recovery operation. The Taiwanese Air Force Command released a press release at noon on the 17th, stating that after several days of underwater exploration, the "black box" was located on the 16th, which was verified to belong to the crashed F-16V fighter jet. It has been successfully salvaged and returned. The Taiwanese Air Force stated that the recovered "black box" will be sent to the original factory in the United States to determine the cause of the crash.
