AMD CEO is reportedly going to visit Samsung Electronics to discuss AI chip manufacturing cooperation.

According to sources, Su Zifeng plans to visit Samsung Electronics' chip production base in Pyeongtaek, located about 60 kilometers south of Seoul on Wednesday, and will meet with executives from the semiconductor division and the foundry business leader. This will be Su Zifeng's first visit to South Korea since taking office in 2014. Industry observers stated that it is expected the two companies will discuss cooperation in the foundry field, including measures to use Samsung Electronics' capacity for AMD's next generation of artificial intelligence chips. Su Zifeng may also meet with Samsung Electronics' chairman, Lee Jae-yong.
