On March 17th, according to reports, British Airways stated that due to the situation in the Middle East, they plan to open new routes in the winter of 2026 and increase flight frequency, while also increasing capacity to some destinations in the short term. The company plans to increase flights to Cape Town, Haneda, Brighton, Kingston, and San Jose in winter, and add Melbourne and Colombo as new destinations. In addition, the airline has added seven extra round-trip flights to Bangkok and Singapore, and will continue to review flight schedules and add flights as needed.
