Starting from May 1st, Air China Limited will launch a new ChongqingManila passenger route, with flight number CA481/2 and operated by a Boeing B737-800 aircraft. There will be four flights per week, departing on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, and returning on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. It is worth mentioning that the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs announced on January 15th that Chinese citizens can enter the Philippines visa-free starting from January 16th, 2026, with a maximum stay of 14 days. This policy currently only applies to tourists entering through Manila and Cebu airports, and the 14-day stay cannot be extended. With the support of the visa-free policy, the opening of the Air China ChongqingManila route will establish a convenient air bridge between Chongqing and Manila, further promoting economic and cultural exchanges between the two places.
