The Italian Ali Salim Air Base in Kuwait was attacked by a drone, destroying an Italian MQ-9A Predator reconnaissance drone worth approximately 30 to 35 million US dollars. This drone belonged to the Italian Air Task Force and was used for intelligence and surveillance missions, providing support to the international coalition against the Islamic State. No Italian personnel were injured.
