Today, reporters learned from the Ministry of Emergency Management that the overall safety production situation in the country has been stable this year, but in recent days, there have been several typical large accidents resulting in deaths in many places. On March 13, an accident occurred at a car parts company in Zhaoqing, Guangdong, resulting in 3 deaths and 4 injuries; on March 14, a fire broke out in a self-built house in Meizhou, Guangdong, resulting in 3 deaths and 2 injuries; on the same day, 3 people died while rock climbing near Yanlie Mountain in Jiujiang, Jiangxi; on March 15, a mechanical injury accident occurred at a car parts company in Yantai, Shandong, resulting in 3 deaths. On March 15, the office of the State Council's Work Safety Commission decided to supervise the investigation of the four accidents, requiring relevant local authorities to escalate the investigation in accordance with the principle of "no leniency", and to hold those responsible accountable according to the law and regulations. An urgent notice on the recent typical large accidents was also issued, urging the thorough learning of lessons from the accidents, the firm prevention and containment of major accidents, the effective prevention of major accidents involving risks, and the prevention of the resurgence of large-scale accidents, to ensure the sustainable stability of the national security situation.
