Colombian Minister of Energy Edwin Palma posted on X platform on Saturday stating that the Venezuelan national oil company (PDVSA) intends to terminate the contract with the Colombian national oil company (Ecopetrol) for the Antonio Ricaurte pipeline due to insufficient investment in maintenance of the pipeline. Palma stated that the Colombian government plans to meet with the United States government next Monday to discuss the lifting of sanctions aimed at normalizing commercial relations with Venezuela. Palma also stated that Colombia has approved permits to resume importing liquefied petroleum gas from Venezuela, with a monthly import volume of 1.26 million gallons.
