India launches anti-circumvention investigation against Chinese saccharin anti-subsidy case.

On March 10, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued a notice stating that, in response to applications submitted by Indian domestic companies Swati Petro Products Ltd. and Jet Healthcare Ltd., they will initiate an anti-circumvention investigation on saccharin originating from or imported from China to examine whether the products involved from China were exported to India via Thailand to circumvent existing anti-subsidy duties. The subsidy investigation period for this case is from April 2025 to September 2025, and the injury investigation periods are from 2022 to 2023, 2023 to 2024, 2024 to 2025, as well as from April 2025 to September 2025. This case involves products classified under Indian customs code 29251100.
