Boston Scientific's first Chinese-based production facility for medical devices has been approved.

On March 13th, the first domestically produced medical device product by Boston Scientific at their own production base in China officially received approval from the National Medical Products Administration. The product is a disposable vascular intravascular ultrasound diagnostic catheter OptiCross HD, which will be produced locally at the Lingang production base in Shanghai. This is also an important step for the multinational giant in the cardiovascular medical device field to make inroads in China's high-end interventional diagnostic and therapeutic market.
