The General Administration of Market Supervision conducts a pilot project to verify the quality and safety coding of key products sold online.
Today, reporters learned that since 2025, the State Administration for Market Regulation has focused on curbing counterfeiting and protecting consumer rights in the online sales sector. They have organized 10 pilot projects for verifying codes for key online products. Ten e-commerce platforms, including Taotian, Kuaishou, Pinduoduo, Douyin, Jingdong, Suning, Xiaohongshu, Dewu, VIPSHOP, and Tencent, have joined forces to voluntarily fulfill their commitments. They have focused on strengthening the management of code verification for charging treasure products and have made positive progress. As of now, a total of 1129 companies producing charging treasures and children's shoes have completed the origin coding, forming a digital product identification, recording key product information, and displaying it on the product itself or on the packaging. This connects production, circulation, and consumption, forming a searchable and traceable data chain, providing a solid data foundation for comprehensive regulation.
