The nationwide medical insurance image index has uploaded 349 million records.

According to the National Medical Insurance Administration, as of March 12th, a total of 349 million image indexes have been uploaded by 31 provinces and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, laying the foundation for the nationwide instant cross-provincial access to medical insurance images. In order to address the issues of "too many tests, expensive tests, and repeated tests", since 2024, the National Medical Insurance Administration has taken multiple measures to promote the construction of medical insurance image clouds, issued unified standards for indexing and coding medical insurance image data, and guided local governments to upload medical insurance image indexes to the national medical insurance information platform step by step. Next, the National Medical Insurance Administration will continue to optimize medical insurance image cloud services, improve data quality control, promote instant cross-provincial access to medical insurance images, and allow more insured individuals to enjoy the reform dividends of "data sharing and convenient medical treatment".
