AJ Bell's financial analysis director, Dani Hewson, said that after the Bank of England announced its interest rate decision at its Monetary Policy Committee meeting in March on Thursday: "Faced with numerous and diverse variables, no one expected the central bank to take actions other than wait-and-see. This decision is still very difficult. We will closely monitor any suggestions about the future path."
