Chinas Association of Automobile Manufacturers: 269,000 New Energy Passenger Cars Exported in February.
In February, the export of new energy passenger cars reached 269,000 vehicles, an increase of 124.7% year-on-year but a decrease of 7.0% compared to the previous month. They accounted for 48.5% of total passenger car exports, an increase of 14.8 percentage points from the same period last year. Pure electric vehicles accounted for 58% of new energy exports, with A00+A0 level pure electric vehicles, which are the core focus, representing 55% of pure electric exports. As China's new energy vehicles continue to demonstrate their scale advantage and the demand for market expansion grows, more and more Chinese-made new energy brand products are gaining recognition overseas. Plug-in hybrids accounted for 38% of new energy exports, and although they have recently faced some disruptions from external countries, the export of domestically produced plug-in hybrids to developing countries is growing rapidly and has a promising future. In February, some outstanding companies in terms of new energy exports were: BYD, Geely Auto, Chery Automobile, Tesla China, SAIC Motor, Leapmotor, SAIC-GM Wuling, Dongfeng Motor, Changan Automobile, Volvo Asia Pacific, Zhimada, Xiaopeng Auto, Polestar, Changan Mazda, Great Wall Motors, Dongfeng Honda, Beijing Automotive Manufacturing, GAC Aion, and Seres Auto. Other car manufacturers also have a certain scale of new energy exports.
