On March 12th, Arbor Day, data from the National Forestry and Grassland Administration shows that China's land greening has moved from "planting many types of trees" to a new stage of "planting and managing well." The spring greening not only enhances the "beauty" but also has "meaning." The "portrait" of China's forests is freshly released: the forest area has reached 3.614 billion acres, with a coverage rate of 25.09%; the volume of standing timber has exceeded 20.99 billion cubic meters; there are approximately 142.6 billion trees in the country, with each person owning an average of 100 trees. As the country with the most rapid increase in greenery globally, China contributes a quarter of the world's newly added green area. These weighty data are not simple estimates, but the result of "sky-ground" integrated scientific measurement.
