Two oil officials said that the Iraqi Oil Ministry has sent a letter to the Kurdish Regional Government seeking to export at least 100,000 barrels per day of crude oil through the Kurdish region pipeline to the Turkish port of Ceyhan, and proposed to pay a transit fee.
