Avoiding the threat of Iranian missiles, Bahrain urgently evacuates Gulf Air and its core fleet.
Bahrain has relocated aircraft belonging to its national airline Gulf Air and several cargo companies out of the country for redeployment, as the Gulf nation continues to face threats of missile and drone attacks from Iran. According to Flightradar24 data, a total of about 17 aircraft have been moved abroad, including 9 Gulf Air passenger planes, 7 DHL cargo planes, and 1 Indian Air Express cargo plane. The Bahrain Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications said in a statement that the country has successfully transferred these aircraft from Bahrain International Airport to alternate hubs, "aiming to enhance the operational readiness of the fleet and ensure the continuity and efficiency of aviation operations in the current environment." Since the outbreak of the war 12 days ago, the operating infrastructure of this Gulf country has been damaged, including the country's main airport and a desalination plant. The main energy company operating the only refinery on Bahrain island has announced that business impacted by the ongoing war has entered a force majeure state.
