Australia closes embassy in Israel

On the 11th local time, the Australian Embassy in Israel issued a notice stating, "Due to increasing security concerns, the embassy has been closed. Please do not go to the embassy or surrounding areas." The notice also stated that Australian embassy officials are still in Israel and will continue to provide consular services. The United States and Israel began a large-scale airstrike on Iran on February 28th, prompting Iran to retaliate by targeting Israeli and American military bases in the Gulf and other countries.
