Japan is considering investing 15 trillion yen in a second American project.
The Japanese government is considering providing a total of about 15 trillion yen for the second batch of projects under its $550 billion investment commitment to the United States. Projects being considered as major investment candidates include the construction of next-generation nuclear reactors, production factories for liquid crystal displays and organic light-emitting diode displays, and copper smelting facilities. The largest of these projects will be the construction of nuclear reactors, with Japan currently reviewing a proposal to build 10 reactors manufactured by the US-based company Westinghouse.
