President Trump said on the 5th that at this stage, sending ground troops to Iran is not being considered. During a phone interview with NBC, Trump stated that considering sending ground troops to Iran at this stage would be "a waste of time" and claimed that Iran "has lost its navy, lost everything", and that the US will continue the pace and intensity of its strikes against Iran. Trump once again claimed that he wants to choose what he considers a so-called "good leader" for Iran, and once again stated that the US has some so-called "good leader candidates", but refused to disclose specific names.
