The Iranian armed forces denied launching unmanned drones towards Azerbaijan.

The General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces issued a statement on the afternoon of the 5th local time, denying that Iran had launched drones towards Azerbaijan. The statement emphasized that Iran respects all countries and accused Israel of attempting to harm Iran using similar methods. On March 5th local time, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement claiming that two Iranian drones had crashed in the country, causing two injuries and damage to the Nakhchivan airport buildings. Azerbaijan condemned this and summoned the Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan.
