Journalists learned from the Ministry of Water Resources that the Inner Mongolia section of the Yellow River will open fully soon, and the Yellow River Water Conservancy Commission of the Ministry of Water Resources has initiated a level IV emergency response for flood control in Inner Mongolia today to ensure the safety of ice flood control on the Yellow River. As of March 5th, a total of 266 kilometers of the Inner Mongolia section of the Yellow River have been opened, with 390 kilometers of frozen length remaining. The opening process is generally smooth. It is predicted that the Inner Mongolia section of the Yellow River will open fully on March 14, 11 days earlier than usual. Next, the Ministry of Water Resources will dynamically and continuously forecast risks, finely arrange the Liujiagou, Haibowan, Wanjiazhai, and other reservoirs, refine and realize measures for the transfer and evacuation of people in the flood-prone areas, to ensure the safety of personnel and ice flood control.
