According to statistics from the National Cultural Heritage Administration, during the 2026 Spring Festival holiday, national museums across the country received a total of 89.5112 million visitors, an increase of 19.3385 million compared to the Spring Festival period in 2025, a year-on-year increase of 27.6%, reaching a historical high. Provinces such as Shaanxi, Jiangsu, Guangdong, Sichuan, Henan, Zhejiang, and others received over 6 million visitors each. 65 national archaeological sites parks received a total of 5.0743 million visitors. During the Spring Festival, national museums across the country held over 12,000 special exhibitions and over 29,000 social education activities.
