China Merchants Shipping: Delivery of the new generation energy-saving and environmentally friendly AFRAMAX oil tanker "Cape"

China Merchants Shipping announced that on March 5, 2026, the new generation of energy-saving and environmentally friendly AFRAMAX oil tanker "Kaipei" built by the company in Dalian Shipyard was delivered in Qinhuangdao, Hebei. This tanker is the second of the two same type of oil tankers approved for construction in 2023, and it adopts the latest generation of energy-saving and environmentally friendly design, equipped with a desulfurization scrubber tower. Its delivery will optimize the company's oil tanker fleet structure. As of the publication date of the announcement, the company has 14+1 oil tankers on order, which will be delivered successively between 2027 and 2028.
