At the Hongmeng Zhihang technology innovation conference, Huawei unveiled a new generation of dual-channel image-level 896-line LiDAR, becoming the highest-spec LiDAR product currently in mass production worldwide. According to reports, the new generation of LiDAR has four times the resolution of 192-line LiDAR, can recognize targets with a minimum height of 14 centimeters, and can recognize targets up to 162 meters away. Jin Yuzhi, CEO of Huawei's Intelligent Automotive Solutions BU, believes that this means LiDAR has officially entered the 3D imaging era from the era of point clouds.
