German sportswear manufacturer Adidas released its financial report for 2025 on the 4th, showing that the Chinese market continues to be an important engine for the company's performance growth, leading in growth rate among the three core markets of Europe, North America, and China. The report shows that excluding the impact of exchange rate fluctuations, global revenue for the Adidas brand reached approximately 24.8 billion euros in 2025, a 13% increase from the previous year, with Greater China growing by 13% to 3.62 billion euros. In addition, the company's annual operating profit increased by about 54% year-on-year to 20.6 billion euros. Adidas Global CEO Kasper Rorsted stated at the press conference that the Chinese market remains an important driver for the company's growth. Despite facing competition from local brands, Adidas still benefits from the supply chain and research and development advantages in the Chinese market, the opportunities brought by the booming sports industry, and the company's localization strategy, resulting in profitable growth in China. He expressed that the company maintains a "very positive" outlook on the Chinese market's prospects. Rorsted also mentioned that during a recent visit to China with German Chancellor Merkel, he was impressed by China's performance in innovation and market vitality. He said that during the two-day visit, the German delegation had several open and positive discussions with the Chinese government and industry representatives. "Once again, I feel that both Germany and China want to strengthen cooperation, and this cooperation is necessary."
