National People's Congress representative Feng Xingya: It is proposed to accelerate the establishment of a unified national standard for battery swapping and improve laws and regulations related to autonomous driving.
Feng Xingya, a national representative of the National People's Congress and the Party Secretary and Chairman of GAC Group, brought several proposals to Beijing this year, focusing on core topics such as new quality productivity, technological innovation, and ensuring people's livelihood. He provided suggestions for the high-quality development of the automotive industry and the improvement of people's livelihood.
With the continuous increase in the penetration rate and ownership of new energy vehicles, recharging has become a new challenge. More efficient and safer ways of recharging have become essential factors for the development of new energy vehicles. Feng Xingya suggested accelerating the establishment of a national unified standard for battery swapping, strengthening subsidies and guaranteeing elements for the operation of battery swap stations, coordinating the overall layout of a nationwide battery swap network, and improving the system framework for separating cars and batteries. By strengthening top-level design, he aimed to promote the battery swapping model to truly form economies of scale.
On the other hand, autonomous driving has become a strategic high ground in the new round of technological revolution and industrial competition. The Chinese autonomous driving industry has entered the fast lane of scaled application. Feng Xingya once again suggested accelerating the improvement of laws and regulations related to autonomous driving, establishing a national unified standard and evaluation system, and using "institutional soft power" to support the rapid development of China's intelligent driving "technological hard power", providing guarantees for the scaled implementation of autonomous driving cars.
