TCL Li Dongsheng: Strengthening capital market support for advanced manufacturing companies in financing

Li Dongsheng, a National People's Congress representative and founder and chairman of TCL, recently stated in an interview with media such as China News Service that breakthroughs in key technological areas are essential to support the transformation and upgrading of the entire Chinese economy and the improvement of the core capabilities of the Chinese technology manufacturing industry. Li Dongsheng has been focusing on the development of advanced manufacturing industries in China for many years. "To cultivate world-class companies, we must rely on the profit accumulation of companies themselves, as well as fully utilize the financing function of the capital market to inject momentum into the sustainable development of companies," Li Dongsheng suggested. He also recommended that relevant policies should be introduced to support the development of high-tech, heavy asset, and long-cycle industries, and to establish special financing rules and channels for this type of projects to better promote the capital market and support the development of advanced manufacturing industries.
