The National Energy Administration released data showing that by 2025, China's consumption of non-fossil energy will increase by approximately 160 million tons of standard coal compared to the previous year, accounting for 30% of the increase in non-fossil energy consumption during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period. On the basis of the 1.9 percentage point increase in the share of non-fossil energy consumption in primary energy consumption in 2024, it will once again increase by approximately 1.9 percentage points, significantly surpassing the 20% target set out in the "14th Five-Year Plan". The total consumption of non-fossil energy in China is equivalent to that of the G7 countries, and the acceleration of energy low-carbon transformation is in progress.
