OpenAI releases GPT-5.3 Instant upgrade ChatGPT most commonly used model
OpenAI has released an updated version of its most commonly used model, GPT-5.3 Instant, in order to make everyday conversations "more stable, helpful, and smooth." OpenAI stated that this update reduces unnecessary refusals, and also tones down the "overly defensive or didactic preambles" before answering. It improves the quality of responses when the information is sourced from web pages, effectively balancing online search results with the model's own knowledge and reasoning abilities. The new version is better at recognizing the potential intent behind questions and prioritizes presenting the most important information. Compared to previous versions, it provides more fact-based answers and reduces illusions on a wide range of topics. It will be available to all ChatGPT users and API developers starting from March 3rd.
