During MWC26 in Barcelona, Huawei ICT BG CEO Yang Chaobin stated that the first 3GPP standard version for 6G will not be frozen before March 2029. However, the development wave of AI will not wait. The next five years are a key window for the explosive growth of mobile AI businesses and also an opportunity for the industry to create new value. After multiple discussions at the World Radio Communication Conference, U6GHz has been established as one of the mainstream frequency bands for future mobile communication. Currently, 5G-A supports U6GHz, mainstream terminal chips and industrial chains have matured, paving the way for large-scale commercial use. In the coming years, the industry needs to collaborate on continuous innovation around U6GHz and other frequency bands within the 5G-A framework to meet the increasing demand for AI services.
