Affected by the geopolitical situation, Shanghai Pudong Airport and Shanghai Yangshan Port have cancelled or adjusted flights and routes involving the Middle East region. According to the official WeChat account of "Shanghai Airport Group," from February 28 to March 2, Pudong Airport has cancelled 36 flights to the Middle East, including 3 flights that safely returned to the departure airport on February 28 with a total of 666 passengers. Shanghai Airport immediately activated emergency response plans, cooperating with customs, immigration, airlines, and other units to ensure the service and assistance for affected passengers. The airport also collaborated with airlines to arrange accommodation for passengers in transit or without a fixed residence in Shanghai to facilitate their onward travel arrangements. On March 3, Pudong Airport plans to cancel 6 flights to and from the Middle East region, including 5 inbound flights (MU246, MU270, MU238, W5077, QR870) and 1 outbound flight (MU237). The airport reminds passengers to stay updated on flight changes and make reasonable travel arrangements.
