BHP Chairman says the current Iranian crisis has limited impact on its business.
BHP Chairman Ross McEwan said on Tuesday that almost all of the company's products are sold to Asia, so the short-term impact of the US-Iran conflict on it is not significant. McEwan said that about 95% of BHP's mineral products are ultimately sold to Asia, where the trade routes are still open, but he expects some routes through the Middle East to be affected. He also noted that BHP has huge mining opportunities in Argentina, Canada, and Australia.
