The resilience of A-shares is highlighted on the first trading day of March, institutional advisors suggest focusing on two main themes.
On March 2, while the Asia-Pacific markets were generally falling, the A-share market showed resilience with a low opening and high closing. Blue-chip stocks led the index to strengthen, and sectors such as petroleum, petrochemical, coal, and non-ferrous metals surged. Over 1100 stocks in the whole A-share market went up, with more than 90 stocks hitting their daily limit-up. The Shanghai Composite Index approached its previous high point. The market had high trading volume throughout the day, with a turnover of 3.05 trillion yuan. At the same time, investor sentiment turned cautious, with a net outflow of over 68 billion yuan in the Shanghai and Shenzhen markets. Analysts believe that short-term volatility does not affect long-term trends, and that market opportunities still outweigh risks. The market performance is worth looking forward to, and it is recommended to focus on two main themes: growth and cyclical stocks.
