Xinjiang issued a yellow warning for road icing. The Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow warning for road icing at 15:40 on March 2, 2026: it is expected that from tonight to tomorrow night, there will be snowfall in the Ili River Valley, the northern part of Tacheng area, Altai area, mountainous areas of Kezhou, and northern mountainous areas of Bortala Prefecture, leading to slippery roads and possible road icing that could affect traffic.
