On March 2, Zheng Zhijie, the Director of the National Development and Reform Commission, chaired a symposium for private enterprises to hear opinions and suggestions on expanding domestic demand, stabilizing investment, and setting a good start for economic development in the "14th Five-Year Plan" period. Business leaders from various fields such as automation equipment, modern seeds, shipbuilding, and artificial intelligence attended the symposium. During the meeting, the business leaders detailed the opportunities and challenges facing their companies and industries, expressing their intention to adapt to changes, increase investment, accelerate technological innovation, continuously improve product and service quality, and contribute to the high-quality development of the national economy and society while promoting their own development. They also suggested further optimizing the implementation of the "double creation" projects and "two new" policies at the national level, supporting private enterprises to undertake major national technological tasks, increasing financing support, regulating market competition, strengthening the integration of production, education, and research in emerging fields, and nurturing talent. Director Zheng Zhijie listened carefully to the speeches of the participating companies and interacted warmly with them, addressing their concerns and demands one by one. He stated that macro policies should benefit micro entities and that the opinions and suggestions provided by companies are helpful for scientifically formulating policy plans. Difficulties faced by companies will be taken seriously and efforts will be made to coordinate and solve them. China has outstanding institutional advantages, a super large market scale, a complete industrial system, and abundant talent resources, providing favorable conditions and broad space for business development. It is hoped that private enterprises will further strengthen their confidence in development, actively seize development opportunities, actively face challenges, and better integrate into the national development strategy. The National Development and Reform Commission will continue to deepen regular communication and exchange with private enterprises, fully play the role of overall coordination, intensify efforts to address issues and demands raised by companies, solidly promote the implementation of various policies and measures, and continuously promote the healthy development and high-quality development of the private economy.
