On the afternoon of March 2nd, the Xiaopeng second-generation VLA Smart Driving Conference was held, and Xiaopeng Automobile Chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng delivered a speech. He Xiaopeng stated that the end-to-end small model has already reached the ceiling of capabilities, and smart driving research and development has reached a "watershed moment". It is introduced that Xiaopeng's second-generation VLA has reconstructed the model paradigm from the ground up, with two parallel development plans: one is to ensure the bottom line, bringing L2++ basic experience, and the other is to invest 30,000 card computing powers and over 20 billion research and development resources to explore the ultimate L4 experience, allowing autonomous driving to become a reality. He Xiaopeng said, "Perhaps this year, we can see the arrival of a very broad L4 in China. When Xiaopeng Automobile was founded 12 years ago, we have always believed that the future era is a time when hardware and software are equally important, not just hardware. So we have always believed that software is very important, and in the past, we were the first to achieve high-speed assisted driving and the first to achieve city navigation assistance." He Xiaopeng also mentioned that this year's two sessions proposal is to accelerate the technological leap from L2 to L4, improve regulations and management systems, and pave the way for the upcoming L4 era.
