On March 2, heavy fog appeared along the coast of Fujian Province, with visibility in many port areas less than 1000 meters. The heavy fog had a negative impact on maritime traffic, so the Fujian Maritime Safety Administration took multiple measures to ensure safety. As of 10 a.m. on the 2nd, 51 passenger ferry routes and 134 passenger ferries along the coast of Fujian were suspended, including 4 cross-strait "small three links" passenger ferry routes. In Xiamen, Zhangzhou, Quanzhou, and Pingtan, all passenger ferry routes were suspended except for 2 emergency routes for civilian use.
