From January to November 2025, the procuratorial organs prosecuted more than 8200 cases of intellectual property rights infringement involving 17,000 individuals.

Member of the Party Group and Deputy Prosecutor General Shi Weizhong introduced at the press conference that the focus is on cracking down on infringement and counterfeiting in key areas closely related to the interests of the people, as well as in new business formats and fields. Severe punishment will be imposed on crimes such as producing and selling fake and inferior food and drugs, clothing and bags, as well as pirated books, toys, software, etc., in accordance with the law. Prosecutorial supervision of civil, administrative, and public interest lawsuits will be strengthened. From January to November 2025, procuratorial organs across the country filed more than 8,200 cases involving intellectual property rights infringement, involving 17,000 individuals; safeguarded the rights of right holders to file related civil lawsuits in accordance with the law in more than 760 cases; and handled more than 540 public interest lawsuits in the field of intellectual property rights.
