The Joint Maritime Information Center has raised the threat level for the Strait of Hormuz to its highest level.
According to a notice issued on March 1st, the United Maritime Information Center has raised the threat level of the Strait of Hormuz to the highest level, and stated that three oil tankers have been attacked in the past 24 hours. The organization stated that although the closure of the Strait of Hormuz has not been officially declared legally, the current operating environment indicates a risk of attack in the region. In the past 24 hours, approximately 110 vessels have passed through the strait, compared to the historical average of 138 vessels.
