Chinese scholars take the lead in proposing a digitalized approach to the standardized use of antimicrobial drugs.

Academician Zhong Nanshan of the Chinese Academy of Engineering led an international team that recently published a paper in the British journal Nature Medicine, proposing a new approach to antimicrobial drug management in primary healthcare institutions. Clinical trials have shown that this approach can significantly reduce the prescription rate of antimicrobial drugs for acute respiratory infections without increasing patient safety risks.
